 Where to invest money in India? There are more than 100 investment alternatives available in India. Here in this blog post I have compiled all in one place.

Financial independence should be our number priority of life. To achieve this goal one must invest in profitable assets. Variety of assets will provide advantage of portfolio diversification.


Stock market mostly trade at overvalued levels. In such a situation investors should not buy stocks. If one knows an alternative, money can be parked there (instead of stocks).


Generally people invest in stocks, mutual funds, real estate or gold. But there are hosts of other ways to invest money. I agree that it is not easy to convince people to invest elsewhere. But such a comprehensive list in one place may help.


For our grandfathers, investment meant buying an insurance plan. If they went a step further, they will buy a PPF, NSC or KVP – no more.


Why it was so? Not because they could not take risk, they simply did not knew about other investment options.


Here I have tried to indicate as many ways of investing as I could recall. I have also provided useful links, which can be used to know more details about that investment vehicle.

A. OUR BANKS:

1) Invest money in savings account offered by banks.

2) Invest money in recurring deposits offered by banks.

3) Invest money in fixed deposits offered by banks.

B. GOVERNMENT OF INDIA PLANS:

10) Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) offered by Indian Post Office is also considered decent investing vehicle.

पीपीएफ Public Provident Fund यानि सार्वजनिक भविष्य निधि जो कि राष्ट्रीय बचत संगठन द्वारा सन 1968 में शुरू की गई योजनाओं में से एक है. इस योजना के माध्यम से संगठन का उद्देश्य देश के नागरिकों में बचत की आदत को पैदा करना था. यह स्किम टैक्स-फ्री सेविंग एवेन्यू है. पीपीएफ खाते में जमा पर ब्याज पर कर नहीं लगता है. इससे पीपीएफ योजना भारत में सबसे अधिक कर कुशल उपकरणों में से एक है. पीपीएफ में पैसा जमा करने का सबसे बड़ा फायदा यह है कि इसमें आप हर महीने या फिर साल में एकबार अपने सुविधा अनुसार पैसा जमा कर सकते है. अगर किसी साल में आपके पास पैसे न भी हों तो कम से कम 500 रुपया जमा कर देने से खाता चालू रहेगा और जिस पर हर साल चक्रवृद्धि ब्याज मिलता है. यह ब्याज मार्च के बाद मिलता है.
